SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — On Monday night, there are still 52 PG&E customers affected by a service outage that occurred in San Francisco earlier this evening, according to utility officials.
The outage started at 7:26 p.m., and at that time there were 2,434 customers affected in portions of the SOMA, Inner Mission and Eureka Valley districts, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
As of 9:45 p.m. the number of customers affected had been reduced to just 52, but it was unclear in which districts those addresses are located.
Guidi said that so far there is no estimate for when service will be fully restored.
The exact cause of the outage has not yet been determined, but utility officials have determined that the outage involves some kind of underground equipment failure.
PG&E has multiple personnel on site “investigating as safely and quickly as possible,” Guidi said.
