OAKLAND (KRON) — The Henry Kaiser Convention Center in Oakland may be getting a makeover sometime soon.
The city council will be voting between two developers, which have completely different plans for the renovation. And on Tuesday night, people are speaking out because they want to be sure the public has access to the historic building.
It’s time for the Henry Kaiser Convention Center to get back in shape, the city said. The Lake Merritt neighborhood has been revitalized, and now developers are looking to bring the dilapidated building up to speed.
