SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A San Francisco family, who lost three of their own in a 2008 fatal shooting, is reacting to the killing of Kate Steinle while she was walking on Pier 14.
Last week’s shooting along the Embarcadero was remarkably similar to the 2008 triple murder. Edwin Ramos, a reputed gang member, put a bullet to the heads of three innocent people–a father and two sons.
The Bolognas lost Tony, Michael, and Matthew a couple of months after the individual who shot them was released from police custody.
Ramos mistakenly took one of the sons for rival gang members. He had been arrested many times for violent crimes but despite his undocumented status, he was not sent back to his native country of El Salvador.
