SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Caltrans has released the cause of one of two Bay Bridge fires this week.
The fires happened on the same spot on the bridge–one on Monday and another Wednesday. Caltrans told KRON 4 Thursday that only the fire on Wednesday was by a roadside flare. Monday’s fire in still under investigation. That confirmation came from video proof.
Caltrans originally said Monday’s fire might have been started by a cigarette.
No word on a price tag of the damages or on repairs, or how many lanes will have to be shut down.
