BENICIA (KRON) — A construction worker was pulled out from underneath a collapsed roof this morning in Benicia, Fire Chief Jim Lydon said.
Crews from the Benicia Fire Department responded to incident at 945 W. Fourth St. just after 11:00 a.m.
The man was renovating the wood roof when it collapsed and trapped him beneath it, Lydon said.
The Benicia Fire Department used air bags and wooden blocks to lift and support the roof and free the worker, who suffered minor to moderate injuries, Lydon said.
The man was pulled out of the rubble within a half hour and was taken to John Muir Medical Center, Lydon said.
