SAN JOSE (KRON) — June was a good month in terms of water conservation in the South Bay.
KRON 4’s Rob Fladeboe crunched the numbers and explains why people will have to do even better in the months ahead. Conservation messages, like one at a dried up ground water recharge pond, are posted across the South Bay. And while the numbers for June are encouraging, people are being urged to do more.
At a news conference on Thursday, the Santa Clara Valley Water District announced that county-wide water savings reached 35 percent in June. That is 5 percent above the goal.
