MORGAN HILL (KRON) — A 2.5 magnitude earthquake hit near Morgan Hill Friday morning.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit at 10:31 a.m., five miles northeast of Morgan Hill and 12 miles north of Gilroy.
It struck on the Calaveras Fault and had a depth of 2.1 miles, according to USGS officials.
Residents from areas including Santa Cruz, San Francisco, and San Jose reported feeling the quake. But there were no reports of injury or damage.
Friday’s minor shaker comes three days after a 4.0 magnitude quake struck near Fremont along the Hayward fault.
