HERCULES (KRON/BCN) — Two people have been arrested at a home, following a raid that led to the seizure of almost 100 marijuana plants, according to Hercules police. Investigators also say the suspects face felony child endangerment charges after they found two children inside the home.
Police say the raid happened on Wednesday at a home in the 200 block of Elderberry Court. Two children, ages six and nine, were present when officers conducted their search, and have since been released to Child Protective Services, according to investigators.
The children were related to one of the suspects, but were not her children, police said.
Officers arrested 25-year-old Huichan Tan and 28-year-old Jie Si Ma. In addition to felony child endangerment, they face charges of cultivating marijuana and possessing marijuana for sale.
Police said the upstairs rooms, including bathrooms, were set up with equipment used for marijuana cultivation.
