Man killed, woman injured during Oakland robbery

OAKLAND (KRON/BCN) — A robbery in East Oakland early Tuesday morning ended with a shooting that left one man dead and a woman injured, according to police.

Investigators say the victims were found with gunshot wounds in the 1300 block of 75th Avenue at 12:36 a.m. The robbers ran from the scene with the woman’s property, police said.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, where the man was pronounced dead. Officers say the woman’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police have not identified any suspects or made any arrests in the case. Homicide detectives are investigating. Oakland police are asking anyone with information to call the department’s homicide unit at (510) 238-3821.
