NEW YORK (KRON) –17-year-old music artist Silento has sparked a dance craze among all ages with his trending song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” which has gained over 88-million views on YouTube.

Officer James Ferrazzo of the NYPD 79th Precinct, is shown in the video below dancing the “Nae Nae” during a block party earlier this week.

According to Nielsen SoundScan, the song has boasted over 150 million views on on-demand streams and peaked No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 songs chart. It’s also No. 2 on R & B, Hip-Hop, and Rap song charts.

Riley Curry, NBA player Steph Curry’s daughter, was seen dancing to the popular song when his wife Ayesha posted it on Instagram recently.

Silento, born as Ricky Hawke, is a 17-year-old rapper who said he wants to be a role model for kids who have posted dancing videos to his song.

Capitol Music Group saw the hit starting to rise and Silento says he received an email from them and signed with their record label.
