SAN JOSE (BCN, KRON) — One person died Thursday afternoon when a vehicle rolled over on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The first report of the crash came in at 1:57 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 just north of McKee Road, CHP spokesman Officer Ryan Fifield said.
Medical personnel pronounced the female dead at the crash site after the vehicle rolled from the freeway onto Marburg Way, Fifield said. CHP also reported a light pole went down.
As of 4:10 p.m., the shoulder is blocked at Julian St./McKee Road, and traffic is stop and go to Alum Rock Avenue at Santa Clara Street. Drivers should expect delays of up to 5 minutes.
