Driver ruptures gas line, then slams into home in San Rafael

SAN RAFAEL (KRON) — A driver slammed into a home in San Rafael on Monday, after severing a gas line, emergency officials said.

The San Rafael Fire Department tweeted out a photo of the crash on Fairhills Drive. Investigators say shortly before 8:30 a.m., the driver lost control of the vehicle, hitting a gas line before crashing into the garage of a residence. The driver suffered minor injuries in the collision, officials said.

There are no reports of any other injuries.

The fire department says PG&E crews were called to the scene to repair the broken gas line.
