San Jose police investigate fatal officer-involved shooting

SAN JOSE (BCN, KRON) —  Police in San Jose are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting that left the suspect dead Monday evening.

The shooting is believed to have occurred at 6:54 p.m. in the vicinity of Kirkhaven Court and Stoneyhaven Way.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, but no other injuries were reported, according to police.

Police said the suspect was being tailed by police for a felony murder warrant. Sunday and Monday’s fatal officer-involved shootings are connected to the August 13th homicide on Lundy Avenue, according to police.

Further details were not immediately available.

This is the third officer-involved shooting in the South Bay since Saturday, and the second in 24 hours in San Jose.
