Man with knife robs Verizon Wireless store

PETALUMA (KRON/BCN) — A man stole a cell phone from a Verizon Wireless store Tuesday afternoon, according to Petaluma police.

The suspect bypassed a security device and ran out of the store at 177 N. McDowell Blvd. around 12:20 p.m., police said.

According to police, the suspect brandished a knife when a store employee tried to follow him out of the store.

The suspect is a white man believed to be between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a black baseball hat, black sunglasses, a black long-sleeved shirt with a white logo and blue jeans.

Police are asking any witnesses to call Officer Paul Accornero at (707) 778-4579.
