Shots fired in Fairfield sends one man to hospital

FAIRFIELD (KRON) — On Sunday morning Fairfield police responded to a man who was shot near the intersection of North Texas Street and Atlantic Avenue at 10:48 a.m, according to officers.

When police arrived on scene they found a 24-year-old resident of Fairfield who had been shot.

The victim was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

A vehicle thought to belong to the victim was towed from the scene as evidence, according to police.
