NAPA (KRON) — One of the Napa businesses that took a hard hit when the massive 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck one year ago was a local pizza parlor called Velo Pizzeria.
At first it was red-tagged, and then later yellow-tagged. Days after the earthquake, Velo Pizzeria couldn’t open its doors because of quake damage to an adjacent building.
But that did not stop them from serving up some pizza pies to anybody who stopped by. They simply rolled in a portable pizza oven and fed folks right on the sidewalk.
On Monday, the owners said they are happy to be back inside their own building and even though business is down, don not count them out.
