TOMS RIVER, N.J. (KRON/AP) — Prosecutors say a 25-year-old man faces child endangerment charges, after Rosie O’Donnell’s teenage daughter was found in his home last week.

Investigators say Steven Sheerer sent O’Donnell’s daughter a nude photo and had inappropriate online communications with the 17-year-old girl. The teen was found in his New Jersey home, hours after her mother posted an alert online saying her daughter had left home in South Nyack, New York, a week earlier.

Sheerer is scheduled to appear Monday afternoon via video conference in state Superior Court in Toms River.

In addition to child endangerment, he faces distribution of obscenity to a minor. His bail was set at $40,000 cash and could spend up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

Investigators say Sheerer was arrested Friday night at his home, three days after O’Donnell’s daughter was found there.
