30-year-old Russell Fernando

ANTIOCH (KRON) — Antioch police investigating a shooting last Wednesday ended up finding in a home items related to making hash oil, counterfeiting, and identity theft, according to police.

Police said they received a report of two people shooting at each other in the area of Rodeo Court and Woodbridge Way at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. When they arrived, police said they found 30-year-old Russell Fernando walking away from a home.

Fernando told officers he confronted the people inside his garage before an argument broke out, police said. Fernando then exchanged gun shots with one or more people inside, police said.

Police said Fernando knew the people he exchanged gunfire with. Police then searched Fernando’s home and found the items, along with a loaded gun that may have been used during the incident.

Nobody was hurt in the incident and Fernando was taken into custody, police said.

Police are asking anybody with information to contact Antioch police at (925)-778-2441.
