Two injured in San Francisco hit-and-run

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON/BCN) — Two people were injured in a hit-and-run Sunday night in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, according to police.

A little after 11:30 p.m., a 57-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were in a vehicle entering the intersection of Powell and Francisco streets when another car didn’t stop at a stop sign on Francisco street, striking the driver’s side of the vehicle, police said.

The suspect was driving a a black Dodge Durango and fled the area on foot. He has not yet been arrested, according to police.

The teen suffered bruising and pain to his body, while the 57-year-old suffered pain to his ribs and knee, officers said.

The victims were taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for their non life-threatening injuries.
