OAKLAND (KRON) — The Oakland Raiders have cut a former first-round pick Monday.
They cut running back Trent Richardson. Richardson had a disappointing preseason with the silver and black, rushing for 42 yards on 15 carries in three games.
Richardson was selected third overall in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, but he was traded to the Indiannapolis Colts after a tough rookie season.
The Raiders picked him up, but were not impressed.
The Raiders play their first game Sunday, Sept. 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals at O.co Coliseum at 1:25 p.m.
