PALO ALTO (KRON) — Police are searching for a man who exposed himself to woman Friday evening in downtown Palo Alto.
The victim, in her 30s, noticed a man following her at about 8:30 p.m. in the 100 block of University Avenue. She continued to walk to the parking garage at 528 High Street and got in her car, with the man still following her, police said.
The suspect stopped at the garage stairwell as she drove away, according to the police.
The victim drove south on High Street for a few blocks, stopped to program her GPS, then heard a knock on the driver’s side window. That is when she noticed the suspect standing next to her door, exposing himself, police said.
The woman screamed and drove away. She got home at about 9:50 p.m. and called the police.
Officers are describing the suspect as a white man, in his mid 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build and medium-length brown hair, police said. He was wearing dark-colored shorts and a light-colored T-shirt at the time of the incident.
Detectives are looking into whether the incident is related to other indecent exposures in the Palo Alto area, police said.
A man exposed himself to another woman in Palo Alto just three days earlier, according to police.
