SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Early Sunday morning San Francisco police responded to a young woman who was struck in the leg by gunfire as a party was
breaking up in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, police said.
The shooting was reported at 4:41 a.m. Sunday near Chain of Lakes Drive on the west end of the park.
As people were leaving the party, one shot was fired.
A 19-year-old woman was struck in the leg by the bullet, according to police.
The woman shot was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for her injuries, which were not life-threatening, police said.
At this time no suspect information is being released, and no arrests have been made.
