Two Sacramento men arrested after sharing video of crimes online

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP, KRON) – Authorities in Sacramento say two men were arrested after sharing video of their crimes online.

The Sacramento Bee reports that 28-year-old Damon Batson and 25-year-old Carlos Gonzalez posted a video showing Baston driving a car while Gonzalez appears to recklessly fire his gun from the front seat. Police said the video was posted on Periscope.

The video also showed them smoking marijuana while riding in the car, police said.

Baston was booked into jail for weapons violation and possession of a cultivated substance while armed with a loaded firearm. Gonzalez was charged with gross negligent discharge of a firearm and possession of a loaded gun in public.

Neither was available for comment.
