PETALUMA (KRON) — A woman was arrested following a high-speed car chase in the North Bay early Friday morning.
Police began chasing the woman just before midnight in Santa Rosa because of a traffic violation.
The pursuit ended on U.S. Highway 101 just south of San Antonio. A California Highway Patrol officer stopped the driver in her black SUV.
At least one police car suffered from flattened tires during the chase.
At first the woman refused to get out of her stopped vehicle. When she finally got out of the car, a CHP officer placed her under arrest.
The Sonoma County Sheriff has taken over the investigation.
