Air conditioner workers in high demand amid Bay Area heat wave

WALNUT CREEK (KRON) — With extreme temperatures Wednesday, many are stuck inside, but if your air conditioner isn’t running, you may have a big problem.

Stephen Opperman from Walnut Creek Heating and Air Conditioning is on a mission. And on days where morning temperatures are at 90 degrees, he’s in high demand.

On a hot September day, no one wants to take a chance that the cool air won’t be working. With the vent cleaned and unit checked, Opperman said one home he visited is in great shape.

And with one home down, and many more to go, Opperman was off to help another East Bay family deal with this heat wave.
