CALISTOGA (KRON) — For many of the evacuees in the Valley Fire, the best time of the day for them is dinner time.
Since they cannot return to their homes, volunteers are making sure residents affected by the fire are well-fed. There was a long line for food Wednesday night at the Napa County Fairgrounds.
Residents enjoyed beef stew, salad, apple cobbler, hamburgers, and more.
KRON4’s Grant Lodes even caught up with the mayor of Calistoga at the evacuated center.
The Valley Fire has burned 70,000 acres and is 30 percent contained.
