Two males shot on I-280 and U.S. Hwy 101

UPDATE 8:38 P.M. : Scott Rates confirms that the shooter is on the loose and has yet to be captured. The victim collided with another vehicle after being shot.

Both men that were shot are expected to survive, according to police. They are still looking into the shooting to check if it was gang-related.

UPDATE 6:46 P.M. : The Northbound and Southbound 280 connector ramps to Southbound 101 have been reopened.

UPDATE 5:54 P.M. : The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. A vehicle shot at another vehicle while driving on 280. SFPD and CHP are currently on the scene at the Northbound 280 split to the 101 Southbound connector to investigate the shooting.

The suspect was an African-American male. No other description was available.

The shooting struck two males in their 20s, one in the torso and leg area and the other to the neck and head area. The victims were both taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at the time.

The Northbound and Southbound 280 connector ramps to Southbound 101 are currently closed.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON/BCN) — A shooting took place Saturday afternoon in San Francisco at Interstate Highway 280 and U.S. Highway 101, a San Francisco police spokesman said.

Spokesman Albie Esparza reported the shooting at 5:02 p.m. on Twitter.

San Francisco police and the California Highway Patrol are investigating the incident.
