FREMONT (KRON) — A 21-year-old man is behind bars on suspicion of burglarizing a house in Fremont.

The incident was caught on surveillance video. It happened nearly a month ago along Amapola Drive near Ondina Drive.

In the video, you can see the suspects breaking and entering into the home. Police said they also injured the family’s dog, Marlie, when they threw dog treats onto shattered glass.

Marlie ate the glass and sustained injuries to her mouth. Police arrested Valdo Diaz earlier Wednesday.

He faces charges of residential burglary, animal cruelty, and parole violation.
