PINOLE (KRON) — An East Bay high school was placed on lockdown after police swarmed the surrounding the neighborhood Wednesday afternoon in search of a suspect.
Campus officials at around 2 p.m. locked down Pinole Valley High School due to police activity behind the school near Creekside Park.
Pinole police have shut down Shea Drive and Sarah Drive. Police department officials have released no details about the situation.
“There’s a helicopter and they won’t let parents get their kids at Pinole Valley high school,” read a Tweet from @SparKLeShiNes.
The suspect was taken into custody just before 3:30 p.m. Officials have released no other details about the search.
