BERKELEY (KRON) — Philippe Djegal reports that bed bugs were found in at least three different locations inside of the North Branch of the Berkeley Library. The area has been closed off to the public.
The bloodsucking critters were crawling and camped out in the downstairs men’s room. They were also found under computer desks and chairs in the reading area. There were enough of the bed bugs for the city to lock the doors and make sure that everyone is kept out.
Although scary to most, the crawlers are not considered a health hazard or known to spread disease.
Djegal has a full report and story in the video above.
