PETALUMA (KRON) — Thursday evening Petaluma police arrested two men after officers served a search warrant at a home in Petaluma and found drugs and weapons.
Around 5 p.m., officers arrived at a home in the 800 block of Rancho Way to serve the warrant, according to police.
The search warrant was a culmination of a long-term effort by police to address complaints of suspected drug sales by neighbors, police said.
Inside the home, officers seized several grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia, OxyContin and other prescription medications, as well as a cane sword, several firearms, ammunition and high-capacity magazines, according to police.
Police arrested the home’s residents, 40-year-old Steven Johnson and 50-year-old Gregory Wickham for maintaining a place to sell illegal and controlled substances, police said.
Officers booked Johnson and Wickham at the Sonoma County Jail, according to police.
