OAKLAND (KRON) — Barry Zito and Tim Hudson faced off in the highly anticipated pitching match-up Saturday. Unfortunately, it was short lived. Both veteran pitchers struggled as the Giants won 14-10.

Hudson was pulled by Bruce Bochy in the second inning when he was unable to find the strike zone. Zito pitched was pulled by Bob Melvin after giving up a walk to Buster Posey to start the third innings. Both pitchers received standing ovations from the mixed Giants and A’s crowd.

Rookie Jarrett Parker stole the show as he hit three home runs, including a grand slam. He also had 7 RBIs. He now has hit five home runs in the last three games.

Parker becomes the first rookie in Giants history to hit for three home runs in a single game.
