MONTEREY (KRON) — The Tassajara Fire in Monterey County is now 100 percent contained, according to Cal Fire PIO Daniel Berlant.
The fire grew to 1,086 acres.
A man’s body was found in the area last weekend after it appeared that he died from suicide.
Officials canceled road closures on Thursday.
Ashes from the burnt buildings are considered hazardous. The fire burnt for over a week. The blaze started in the area of Tassajara and Carmel Valley roads.
