BART’s Ashby Station reopens, expect delays

BERKELEY (KRON) — update 2:45pm The Ashby station has reopened, expect delays

BART officials have closed the Ashby BART Station in Berkeley Monday afternoon due to a major medical emergency that is affecting service throughout the rail system.

The incident occurred at 12:24 p.m. and shut down BART service at the station.

“There is a station closure at Ashby due to a major medical emergency,” BART officials said in an advisory.

According to officials, a person was caught under a train. The condition of the person found in the trackway has not yet been determined.

Major delays have been reported from Richmond to Millbrae and Richmond to Fremont.
