Martinez police arrest suspected Verizon store burglar, trace phones to his home

MARTINEZ (KRON) — Martinez police have arrested a man Monday for allegedly burglarizing a Verizon store.

Police said they received a call that the alarm was activated at the cellphone store located on the 1000 block of Arnold Drive. When officers arrived, they found that 10 brand new Apple iPhones were stolen.

Police said they were able to trace the phones to a home on the 4400 block of Webster Street in Oakland. Officers then arrested the suspect, who they identified as 38-year-old Un Ho Kim.

Kim was transported to the Contra Costa jail and booked for commercial burglary. He is being held on $20,000 bail.
