Palo Alto library reopens after bed-bug infestation


PALO ALTO (KRON) — The Mitchell Park Library in Palo Alto reopened Monday morning after it was infested with bed bugs.

After crews made sure it was bed bug free, the library opened at its regularly scheduled time of 10 a.m.

Clark Pest Control got rid of the infestation with a direct spray pesticide. Mitchell Park was closed for three days after the bugs were found on two chairs.

The pests can live almost anywhere, even in books.

However, Santa Clara Vector Control said they do not believe the bugs spread.
