Police investigate bomb threat at Hunter’s Point in SF

UPDATE 10:40 – The suspicious package has been cleared and evacuations are now cancelled.

The workers can return to the building.


SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police are investigating a suspicious package in a building that is under construction at Hunter’s Point Monday morning.

Police received a report of a possible bomb threat in a building in the 500 block of Innes Avenue just before 9 a.m.

The 14 unit complex is currently under construction.

The workers were evacuated from the building. Police also evacuated everyone within a block radius from the building.

Willie Mays Boys & Girls Club is within a mile from the building. It is unclear at this time if they will be evacuated.

More information on the threat is not immediately available.
