Sheriff’s office investigating double homicide in Castro Valley

UPDATE 7:45 P.M.: A man and a woman were killed and a relative taken into custody after what was described as a “brutal murder” at a mobile home park in Castro Valley Monday, Alameda County sheriff’s deputies said.

Close family friends are in mourning after a man and woman were found dead inside this home on Monday. According to friends, Lori Thompson was one of two victims. They said she was a strong woman who had battled cancer in the past.

CASTRO VALLEY (KRON) — Update 2:45pm The Alameda County Sheriff’s Department tells KRON4 they are questioning a person of interest. They also say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the crime at this time.


Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said one person has been detained and officials are continuing to investigate the discovery of two bodies inside a residence at a Castro Valley mobile home park.

Sheriff’s officials said at around 12:30 p.m., deputies responded to a call at a residence at the Chetwood Crest Mobile Homes Park located on 3919 Castro Valley Blvd.

Responding deputies found the bodies of a male and female inside a trailer.

Sgt. J. D. Nelson could not immediately say how the two victims were killed but said deputies had a suspect detained in the double homicide.
