Boater goes missing in Livermore lake

LIVERMORE (KRON) — A privately owned boat at Lake Del Valle took on too much water on Friday around 7 PM, causing nearly half a dozen people to swim to shore. However, one person was missing from the group: 31-year-old Raghavendra Indugula, according to East Bay Regional Park District PIO Carolyn Jones.

Indugula works for Salesforce under a visa.

No one on the boat was wearing a life jacket, according to Jones.

Alameda County Sheriffs were on the scene investigating Saturday and will continue Sunday morning. Authorizes believe no foul play took place during the accident.

Jones said that this is a horrible tragedy and stressed the importance of boating safety.
