SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — KRON 4’s Mark Danon and George Rask talked with the San Francisco Police Department on the Marina Green before the 35th annual Fleet Week Air Show began.
Danon and Rask were joined by SFPD Sergeant Serrano and Officer Levy to talk about their new recruitment campaign.
SFPF is actively looking for candidates to be officers and has a booth at the Humanitarian Village this year for Fleet Week.
There are currently 300 opening SFPD is seeking to fill, according to Sergeant Serrano.
“We are looking for ordinary people who are willing to do the extraordinary,” Officer Levy said.
They are looking for eager candidates who have have a strong desire to make a difference. The ideal officer is honest, adoptable and a role model for the community.
