3.2 earthquake hits San Ramon, adding to the cluster of over 40 small quakes

 

UPDATE: An 1.7 magnitude earthquake was reported 1 kilometer east of San Ramon at 6:10 p.m. Thursday night.

SAN RAMON (KRON) – Another earthquake hit the San Ramon area Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake was reported with a magnitude of 3.2 at 6:10 a.m., according to the USGS.

This earthquake follows a string of small quakes that have been rattling the East Bay since Tuesday and this last one is the biggest one yet.

There have been almost 40 earthquakes shaking up the area, with magnitudes ranging from 1.5 to 3.2.

The string of earthquakes began on Tuesday at 8:50 a.m. and has continued into Thursday.

No injuries or damages have been reported following any of the small earthquakes.
