Fight leads to shooting at Pittsburg convenience store

PITTSBURG (BCN) — A shooting injured two people at a Pittsburg convenience store on Wednesday evening, according to police.

At about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, three people got into an altercation with at least one suspect at the E-Z Stop store at 1000 Power Ave., Pittsburg police said.

The altercation, which was based on an incident that occurred several days earlier, led to two victims being shot by the suspect, who is known to them, police said.

Police said the two victims, both Pittsburg residents, and the other person with them fled to the Police Department, where the two injured victims were then transported to a hospital.

One victim, a 22-year-old man, was shot in the abdomen at least three times, but is in stable condition, police said. The other victim, an 18-year-old man, suffered a grazing gunshot wound to the face.

Police said the victims themselves had firearms in the vehicle they drove.

Pittsburg police said this morning they are still seeking the suspect in the shooting.
