SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — A man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Wednesday night, police said.
The shooting was reported at 8:45 p.m. near La Salle Avenue and Whitfield Court.
The 23-year-old victim was sitting in a parked car with a friend when a suspect approached the passenger side of the car and asked them if they had any drugs, according to police.
After the victim said he did not have drugs, the suspect then fired into the vehicle, hitting the victim in the torso, police said.
The victim was able to drive himself to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his gunshot wound, which is not considered life-threatening, according to police.
