SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police responded to a woman who suffered serious injuries Thursday evening during an altercation with two suspects in San Francisco’s Mission District, according to police.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to an assault in the 300 block of Potrero Avenue, near 16th Street. Witnesses told police that a male and a female suspect were engaged in a verbal argument with a victim on a bus.
Both the suspects and the victim got off the bus and continued to argue.
Witnesses heard yelling and then saw the victim, described as a woman in her mid 50s, lying on the ground unconscious, police said.
Both suspects fled the area on foot and have not yet been arrested, police said.
The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
