Three alarm house fire in San Francisco under control, 2 displaced

UPDATE 5:56 P.M.: At least two people have been displaced by a three-alarm fire that damaged a three-story residential building Friday afternoon in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond District.

The building has multiple units and although only two people have been reported as displaced so far, fire officials said the number could go up later Friday evening, as people are getting off work.

Firefighters are still on-scene.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) —  San Francisco firefighters are responding to a three alarm house fire burning on second and Geary street.

The cause of the fire is unknown and firefighters will remain on scene for a full investigation.

It is not immediately clear if there are any injuries at this time.

The fire broke out around 1:55 p.m Friday afternoon, according to fire officials. Firefighters called for a second alarm at 2:02 p.m. and a third alarm at 2:07 p.m., fire officials said.

Areas near the Embarcadero reported seeing and smelling smoke near Front Street.
