UPDATE: A Palo Alto intersection has reopened Friday evening, after a water main break caused it to be closed for most of the day, according to police.
Crews were able to complete the repairs to the water main ahead of schedule, allowing for the intersection to reopen earlier than expected, according to police.
PALO ALTO (KRON) — Palo Alto police responded to a water main break that has closed the intersection of Hillview Avenue and Hanover Street near Ford Research and Innovation Center early Friday morning.
Although crews are working to repair the break, it is anticipated to be closed most of the day.
The break was reported around 8:00 a.m. Friday morning in Palo Alto off Hillview and Hanover.
Surrounding areas near the broken water main remain blocked off due to repairs.
No injuries or major damages to homes have been reported yet, but stay with KRON4 as we continue to follow the story.
