San Francisco police investigate explosive device found on beach

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — On Thursday Explosive ordnance experts detonated an explosive device after it washed up on a San Francisco beach, police said.

Officers responded at 6:08 p.m. to the intersection of the Great Highway and Sloat Boulevard to assist U.S. Park Police with the incident, according to police.

Ordnance experts detonated the device, police said. No one was injured, according to police.
