Car slams into San Jose restaurant

SAN JOSE (KRON) — A car drove into a San Jose restaurant Monday morning, according to officials.

Police got a call around 7:19 a.m. that a car slammed into Thanh Huong, a to-go sandwich restaurant, in the 2000 clock of North Capitol Avenue near the Great Mall in San Jose, police said.

Emergency crews arrived and found a silver four-door car went into the building and inside a business, officials said.

No injuries were reported, according to officials.

The driver was cooperative with investigators, who are looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash, police said.

It has not been determined if alcohol or drugs was a factor in the crash, according to police.
