MILL VALLEY (KRON) — Staff at a North Bay hardware store were startled Monday after a car crashed into their building.

It happened just before noon at the Goodman Supply Company at 775 Redwood Hwy. in Mill Valley.

According to store staff, an elderly man plowed through a wall and came to a stop a few feet inside near the gardening section.

A store employee said the driver did not suffer any injuries.

Staff say that the driver confused the gas and brake pedals.

The incident was reported several hours after another motorist crashed into a store in the South Bay.

Police got a call around 7:19 a.m. that a car slammed into Thanh Huonh, a to-go sandwich restaurant, in the 2000 clock of North Capitol Avenue near the Great Mall in San Jose, police said. No injuries were reported.
