SANTA CLARA COUNTY (KRON) — Don’t be fooled by the grey skies and cooler weather around the Bay Area in recent days.
Fire season has a long way to go, and the threat of wildfires will be increasing over the next few days. The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch effective through Wednesday.
It is predicting strong and dry winds for the North Bay hills in particular, but Cal Fire said people in the Santa Cruz mountains, and other potentially windy areas, should be on guard too.
Cal Fire said all of its Bay Area units are to remain fully staffed for the duration of the critical fire weather conditions.
